A beautiful tattoo is only half the work — how you care for it determines how it heals and how it ages. Here's everything you need to know.
Rest well, eat beforehand, hydrate, and skip alcohol for 24 hours. Wear comfortable clothing and arrive relaxed — a calm body takes ink beautifully.
Keep the area clean, moisturized, and out of direct sun. Avoid soaking, picking, or scratching. Most tattoos surface-heal in two to three weeks.
Gentle fragrance-free soap, a quality unscented healing balm, and broad-spectrum sunscreen once healed. We’ll send you a personalized list.
Questions during healing are normal. From peeling to touch-ups, we’re a message away — and happy to look at photos if anything seems off.
Every body is different, but most tattoos follow this rhythm. When in doubt, message us — we're glad to look at photos.
Leave the initial bandage on as instructed. Once removed, wash gently with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of healing balm.
Light flaking and tightness are normal. Keep moisturizing sparingly and never pick or scratch. Avoid soaking, swimming, saunas, and direct sun.
The outer skin settles and any dryness fades. Continue moisturizing as needed. Deeper layers keep healing for several weeks beneath the surface.
Sunscreen is the single best thing you can do for longevity. Keep the piece protected and it will stay crisp and rich for years to come.
